Advice on marketing, business strategy and of course info on factor1 projects.

Oak Leaf Church Site Launch

Site Launches, Testimonials — Posted by: mattadams on May 30, 2008 at 11:04 am

We launched a few sites in the past few weeks. One noteworthy site is Oak Leaf church. Two years ago we created a pretty insane, flash based CMS site for Oak leaf. This new site is so much cleaner, smoother, and uses our database driven Monsoon CMS. This allowed us to use some new coding styles and features.

Michael Lukaszewski had this to say:

Factor 1 did a great job on our site re-design. They took the time to understand our DNA as a church and gave us the site we asked for. They implemented it on time and on budget, and the site is easy to update. They did our original site, as well as the redesign. We were glad we worked with them again, and you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks Michael for the repeat business and Shannon knocking out another great site design

More site launches and testimonials coming soon.

Also, a new Factor 1 site is in the works. Lots of cool features, technology, and a streamlined portfolio. Be on the lookout for that this summer!

Site Launch & Client testimonial

Site Launches, Testimonials — Posted by: mattadams on May 14, 2008 at 4:47 pm

I just thought I would brag / gloat a little.

Recently we launched a new site

executiveleadershipinstitute.net

Our client had this to say:

Matt,

Pam and were speaking this morning and we both agreed that making the choice for you to build the web site for our new business is the best decision we have made! Everyday we receive compliments on the site using words like “Wow” to “Great” and many asking who developed the site for our business. I highly recommend you and your services for anyone that wants to utilize the Internet to make a significant impact for their product or service. It will be the best money spent!

Thank you for the joy of working with you and we look forward to a long and mutually profitable relationship.

Warm regards,
Jim Rives
President & CEO
Executive Leadership Institute LLC

This was a great project to work on, and Jim was an outstanding client. Thanks so much to all involved. I think the project turned out so well because of the caliber of people involved, Jim, Pam, and Shannon (our newest designer on staff here at factor 1).

Once our new factor 1 site is done, we will have an expanded portfolio, with 4 or 5 key projects per industry, with comments, notes and testimonial from that project. This will for sure be one of our featured projects.

Feed Manager - manage podcast & rss feeds
So today we made some key decisions about the future of our podcast feed manager.

The great tool many of you have grown to love, is getting cooler. We are developing a standalone, multi-faceted version of our RSS / podcast feed manager application.

Expect updates as we continue to build it, and get it tested.

So we have been simplifying our overall look to be more streamlined.

Today we overhauled the blog themes of our staff, and public blogs.

Check it out. I think it looks way cool.

2 big site launches!

Site Launches — Posted by: mattadams on May 9, 2008 at 4:55 pm

Today was a busy day. We had 2 large, high profile sites go live, on top of a few others this week.

I kind of stopped blogging about site launches, but I needed to show off these 2 big sites.

First: Whitewing Communities.
www.whitewingdev.com

Second: Central Christian Church of Las Vegas
www.centralparents.com

Two awesome projects to be involved on, and I am super excited about both of their designs coming out so sharp.

Giving it away for free

Marketing — Posted by: mattadams on May 6, 2008 at 6:52 am

So in the past year, a lot has happened in music. Radiohead, Coldplay, and recently announced Metallica have been selling their albums via digital download, and you name your price. Radiohead had over 1 million downloads, and averaged $8 a user. Thats amazing.

Now, Nine Inch Nails is taking it a step further. Free. You heard me, 100% free.

as a thank you to our fans for your continued support, we are giving away the new nine inch nails album one hundred percent free, exclusively via nin.com

Could it be Trent Resnor truly enjoys making music, so much so that giving it away makes him happy? Or is this just hype, for concert promotions & other product sales?

What do you think?
