It appears we really don’t need our desktops, but most of us with laptops knew that already. My wife and I are currently getting caught up on “LOST” by watching back episodes from our wi-fi at home while snuggling in bed… turns out we will be able to do this and many more things in the future from just about any where.

what is your company or organization doing to get ahead of the curve on developing web technology?

viral marketing in politics – what are you doing?

Factor 1, Marketing — Posted by: ryanrussell on August 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm

The links below provide an excellent example of creative, viral marketing at work in politics (disclaimer = we don’t know that candidate or his views; we are not
endorsing him just the methodology
).

After you check out the links below, do some brainstorming with your business or organization:

  •  What is a simple, interactive tool that you could add to your current website that others can use to communicate about you?
  • How creative are you being in delivering your message or product?
  •  What is the quick & easy way for newbies to get engaged with what you have to offer?

IE6 just wont die

CSS, blogging, humor — Posted by: mattadams on August 23, 2008 at 6:06 am

I know I have rambled on about Internet Explorer 6 still being used by some 20% of the population, even though it was replaced 2 years ago by IE 7. So I wont spiral into that post again.

I do have to share this. In a post by CSS tinderbox. Raymond shares his analogy for IE 6.

So true.

How is this not on my wall?

Blog Action Day

blogging — Posted by: mattadams on August 16, 2008 at 8:14 am

Once again, this year we will be participating in Blog Action day.

Blog Action Day is an annual nonprofit event that aims to unite the world’s bloggers, podcasters and videocasters, to post about the same issue on the same day. Our aim is to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion.

I am not yet sure what specifically I will be blogging about, but trust me, my head is pretty full of thoughts, revelations, discussions, ideas, and other concerns surrounding this years topic of poverty.

Site launch – Right People USA

Site Launches, Testimonials — Posted by: mattadams on August 12, 2008 at 1:14 pm

Yeah, yeah it seems all I talk about on this blog is goofy stuff I find online and new site launches. But don’t feel left out, its all I talk about in person too. Maybe next week I’ll tell you all about some more personal things in our lives.

Right People USA, a beautiful site. Shannon and I worked, re-worked, and re-re-worked this site design. It was tough to come up with that perfect, easy on the eye, smooth, and clear design.

RightpeopleUSA.com

I think we ended up with a well refined site. So did the staff at Right People.

Our website launch was perfect. Factor 1 exceeded our expectations in design and delivery. We had many last minute updates to ensure a successful launch prior to a conference, and Factor 1 was able to meet all our needs. Thank you for your quick response and excellent work. The navigation is simple for the client, and we know this will help us with our web presence. Thank you for your dedication and customer service.

Jessica M. Pierce
Right People USA, Partner/CEO

Thanks Jessica!
