Using RSS feeds as a Learning tool

Am I living under a rock? or is it true that no one is really using RSS feeds in an educational model?

Here are my thoughts on some possible uses:

  • Schools could broadcast homework (Students and parents would subscribe)
  • Word of the day?
  • Daily bible or other scripture reading
  • Weekly leadership coaching or mentoring
  • Foreign language learning
  • Program tool skills

I could keep going. Maybe I just dont know about some of these systems out there. The way I see it, having a free education tool to subscribe to, could be a great way to generate income (via ads on each post).

Anyone have other ideas for RSS educational broadcast feeds? Or solutions that already exist to my ideas?
