My goal is to build a diverse team. I know I need employees that compliment each other. For example, I am a broad strokes, big picture person. I need to make sure my designers are detail oriented, and work well on tasks.

So the short answer is that I plan on diversity in personalities, as long as that personality works for that job description. Creatives are all across the spectrum, but generally studio managers, accounting, resource directors, etc, all have more of a focused personality range in these assessments.

I think self awareness and awareness of each others traits should help avoid rubbing each other the wrong way.</description>

However, the MBTI is NOT approved for use in selection.  There are many reasons for this, but the greatest of which is there is no research validating that personality type can predict performance.  In addition, you mentioned that you want to surround yourself with the right people.  Would that be everyone like you (so as to reduce conflict...and creativity)?  Or would you like one of every personality type to ensure diversity and a greater opportunity for a strongly developed team.  You see, while a team that is highly similar may not have as much conflict, their results will be less creative and potentially explore alternatives less than a diverse team.
